Modeling Tip—Expression! {Pt. 1}
There are so many outlets when it comes to expression in modeling. When we think of expression, the first thing that usually comes to mind is something to do with the face; however, expression is much more than that!
For today, though, I am going to be giving a tip regarding a certain aspect of facial expression for modeling!
1. Lip Spacing! One of the main things in creating a good facial expression is complete relaxation of your facial muscles. In regards to your lips, when they are completely relaxed, there should be space between them!
This is super important in modeling, because if you do notice that with most modeling photos in the industry, models make sure to have space in between their lips!
A lot of people try to create modeling expressions by pursing their lips together or creating the “duck lip” approach….which is a big No No! Haha Don’t overthink it! Just relax and let your face do the talking!
Positive Thought—Be sure to use every outlet you can to express yourself. Limiting yourself to one specific way of expressing yourself can only hold you back from shining your true potential!
A lot of times, we become scared, shy, self-conscious, or worried of what people might think of us. However, it’s taking that first step, and putting ourselves out there that really paves the way for taking more strides at coming into the light of who we are!
