Modeling Tip—Moody Shot! {Pt. 2}

I have said it before, and I will say it again…Moody shots are forever some of my favorite looks to do in photoshoots!

Call me dramatic haha, but they really do evoke some of the strongest emotions! I brought up moody shots before in some posts, and I wanted to continue with another tip on that topic today!

1. Closed Off! Being closed off in a pose essentially means the body language and positions of the arms and legs are more tightly confound to the body and not as openly inviting. This brings in some of the deeper personal emotions in moody shots!

If you notice, not only is my body language closed off as far as the posture and arm placements, but my head is also slightly hidden. This also helps add to the mystery and air of inner emotions concealed in the portrait!

Covering the mouth also becomes very poetic in the sense by feeling bound through thoughts and words and not having a voice, yet the side of my mouth is emerging to give way to the idea of longing to speak out!

Positive Thought—You/Self-Love! Holding tightly to every part of what comprises who you are is an effort of self-love!

Self-love is not only important for yourself but also for others around you. The more you practice and work on it, the more you are able to express and give love freely to others!
