One of the most common questions that I get asked is “how to get a chiseled jawline” or “what can I do to improve my jaw structure.” As afore mentioned in previous posts, there are several different techniques or tricks when posing you can implement into getting a more featured jawline aesthetic.
Today, I wanted to add another tip into the mix on the lines of this topic!
1. Clenched Jaw!
There are 5 muscles composing your jaw and it’s function, 3 which are used in closing and 2 in opening. Just like you are able to flex and show off your muscles while working out or body building, you are also able to flex and show off your jaw muscle.
By clenching your jaw, it actually widens it and also tightens the muscles. This is great in two aspects!
One—when your jaw widens it stretches the skin over more of a surface area, thus drawing out more definition to your facial bone structure along your jaw line.
Two—by tightening the muscles they begin to expand, and in so doing, they show up more defined.
You can actually see in this photo how much of a difference clenching your jaw can make to bring a direct focus to the jaw, the jaw line, and the jaw muscles.
When clenching or flexing the jaw, be sure to not place your teeth directly on top of each other, because you do not want to grind them! It’s always important to do things the proper way when working with your body muscles.
